Kerry Rae Harrison is a Fraser Coast artist (Queensland, Australia) whose work I noticed recently, and this art piece in particular, “Inland Sea.” The title may be self-explanatory, but I found it rang so many emotional bells inside me, on different levels. Like a place to go in times of stress. A calming escape inside one’s own mind away from life’s many woes. But also, a wonderful Worldly sensuality about it, the beautiful curves of the figure, evocative of a sense of our Earth Mother. At least, that is my take on it.
