“BUNDABERG BOHEMIANS – NOT BOGANS” EXHIBITION AT BLEEDING HEART GALLERY,BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA. FLASHBACK TO FRIDAY 18TH JANUARY 2013.
A big crowd :) – yeah right I hear you say, looking at this pic. No, true, it was a great night – this was just on opening time. The crowd bustled in soon after – some of whom had come all the way from Bundaberg. Thanks folks. Eerie to look back on this and realise that the Bundy flood was only weeks away – the biggest ever. Luckily these paintings were freighted back (by Creative Regions who organised the show) after the flood, or they would have been under water at my place. On the walls are my “MRI Tomb” and “Stratification.” Odd, the guy looking at the latter wears a stratified shirt. Also, 5 of my little “Slices of Strata” paintings are there, one of which sold to the Dean of Central Queensland University I believe, my old stomping ground. Sweet.
