Oil-pastels & 2B pencil on paper.

Just got home from my usual fortnightly life drawing class (untutored) at Bundaberg’s Art Plus. Had some nice Cabernet Merlot there, and after the second glass my work looked pretty good (to me at least). Lots of pizza at half time as usual, but unfortunately I had eaten a late lunch, so didn’t indulge this time. Regular male model Justin tonight – he does a great job, and I was happy with my work overall.

It is like a lottery, some weeks. All thumbs one week, then ok the next. Always happy if I get at least one sketch ok on the night (ok = that I like it). I have been told to use charcoal and other mediums, but I keep coming back to oil-pastels, naughty boy. But I like being naughty at times. My eyes always seem to crave colour, even colour that is not there in the room. The cushion WAS red though. The time limit on this drawing was 5 minutes.
